APPOINTMENT ONLY
We are currently not accepting walk-ins. However, you can always call the shop, message us on Facebook/Instagram, or contact an artist directly to see if they have same day appointment availability.
CONSULTATIONS
You need to consult with an Artist before a tattoo appointment can be made. Go to our Artists Page to view their portfolio and info. Click on the blue button below to request a consultation. You will receive notification once the artists has approved your request. Please keep in mind, artists may not be able to view/approve consultation requests made on the same day.
the process
1) Formulate your Tattoo Idea
DO'S:
BODY ART
COSMETIC
A good canvas is just as important as a good artist. How well you sit can have a significant impact on how long your tattoo takes and how well it turns out. Keeping a steady breath and following the Do's & Don'ts listed above will help. Pain is part of the process, but please let your artist know if you are not feeling well.
9) After Your Tattoo Appointment
- Gather reference pictures.
- You don't need an exact drawing of what you want; that is for your artist to develop. However, reference pictures help the artist understand what direction you are thinking.
- Decide whose style resonates best with you.
- If you need help deciding, feel free to message the shop directly. All of our artists are versatile, but may enjoy and/or specialize in certain styles. Also, availability may be a factor.
- Click the "Book Now" link on your chosen Artist's section.
- Choose an available time and complete the Consultation Form. You will receive a notification once the Artist confirms the consultation time.
- If you like what you hear during the consultation and want to move forward with a tattoo appointment, we require a $60 deposit. This goes towards the total cost of your tattoo and reserves your spot.
- During the consultation, your artist will inform you of their hourly rate and a quote range of how long/how much your tattoo will likely cost. Please understand these are estimates. Tattoos are works of art, not boxed products with precise duplicable amounts.
- Consent Form (This includes a questionnaire and a section to upload a picture of your ID.)
DO'S:
- Shower right before your tattoo appointment.
- Wear clean clothes appropriate for the tattoo area.
- Drink plenty of water and eat a good meal.
- Do not proceed with your appointment if you have a cough, fever or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days. (If you need to reschedule, inform your artist at least 48 hours in advance.)
- Do not come straight from work or another place/event.
- Do not consume alcohol within 24 hours before your appointment.
- Do not consume caffeine.
- Do not consume pain relievers or other muscle relaxers.
- Do not apply spray tan on the tattoo area.
- Do not bring any additional guests without prior artist approval. Please note, guests can hinder artist and client concentration, and the overall tattoo process.
- Enter the building lobby and call us at 503-747-0170 to check-in.
BODY ART
- Your artist will show you the design they created, based upon your consultation. Any changes can be discussed and made.
- Next, sizing and location will be confirmed. A removable stencil of the design will be placed on your skin. This will allow you to see what the sizing and placement will look like. Any adjustments can be made. For freestyle type tattoos, your artist will use a marker to draw directly on you.
- Once you and your artist agree on the design, sizing and location, the final stencil/marker drawing will be given time to dry (if needed) and the actual tattooing begins!
COSMETIC
- Your artist will go through your desired cosmetic tattoo based upon your consultation. For lips and brows, you are encouraged to come in with makeup only on the lips/brows as you would like them done; or as discussed in the consultation.
- First, your artist will take a small buffer and abrade the brow area so they can remove dead skin and allow for the numbing creams to work.
- Second, they will map and measure out the brow design that best compliments your face, aiming for symmetry, but also taking into consideration how your brows move when talking. This step can be very tedious. Please keep in mind, brows are sisters not twins!
- Next, they will take a surgical marker and line in dots to retain the design that has been approved. A generous amount of lidocaine numb cream will be applied, wrap-covered, and set for 20-30 minutes.
- Then, the tattooing happens! It usually takes around 30 minutes, with 3 passes on each side. In between passes, a secondary numbing cream with epinephrine may be used.
- Cosmetic tattoos are usually at least a 2 appointment process. Your artist will likely go conservative the first session, and fine tune or add another pigement layer the second session. For brows, the ink is expected to fade depending on your skin oiliness.

9) After Your Tattoo Appointment
- Expect to have a tattoo picture taken, so your artist can showcase their work.
- Your artist may wrap your tattoo (depending on design, size & location) and go over Aftercare with you. You will receive detailed instructions via email the evening prior. Please review beforehand and ask any questions.
- Make payment and check-out. Please note your artist's payment preference. Tips are customary.
- Schedule the next session or touch-up appointment.
- Continue to follow Aftercare instructions and contact your artist immediately if you have any concerns.
- Rock your tattoo!
